I found this plate online. It has the beaded edge, with the letters embossed around the rim. Most of the color has been worn off. Is this the plate you are looking for?

My Mother had a beautiful milk glass alphabet plate which she cherished. Unlike one I viewed on the Internet; on hers the outlined letters were the edge of the plate. It would mean a great deal to know of a replacement.

Thank you

Unfortunately, I do not have that information. The Westmoreland Glass club site recommends the books by Lorraine Kovar. See if you can borrow one from your local library to see if all the colors for the Robin on Twig NEst are listed. Good luck in your hunt.

I would like to have a list and possible pictures of the 24 colors that were produced in the Robin on Twig Nest candy dishes. My mother collects them and has several but there are some colors she remembers as a child that we have not found?

Glass Review vol. 8 no. 8, August 1978, calls this the Americana Bowl. It is part of the American Console set and came with Eagle candle holders. The illustration is from ads run in 1939, 1940 and 1941. Hope this helps.

You included some glass items used in industries such as beverages and other uses. My grandfather (c. 1893 - 1909) although a professional musician, actually worked as a civil engineer and was very artistically inclined. I am told that he worked at some time for a company that used some kind of mahogany boxes or material for their products and from these he built his family house ceiilings with the most intricate patterns and designs, each room totally different. And, he also worked for either a wine or brewery company which distributed a small glass cup slightly larger than what we call "a measured shot of whiskey or rum.:" I have a glass and it has an engraved letter "H" in gold which was the company's initials. I know nothing else. Do you happen to know of any such "brewery" around that particular time - 1893 - 1909. This was in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Unfortunately, I cannot give you a value on this decanter. The volume of glass decanters and other articles means that there are more items than can be listed in valuation books, but you might see if you can borrow such a book from the local library. It might give you an idea of what you have and what it is worth. Good luck.
